Anesthesiology Residency Program Highlights

  • Support and funding are provided for scientific presentations or leadership positions at national meetings.
  • Educational resources and book allowance are provided to the resident at each year of training.
  • Opportunities are provided to perform research in various subspecialty areas, including obstetrical anesthesia and pain management. A CA-3 elective rotation in research is available to further scholarly interests and activity.
  • Residents learn skills in professional information exchange by providing departmental grand rounds presentations, teaching simulation skills to other trainees, and providing formal lectures and clinical teaching to junior residents, medical students and other trainees.
  • Resident physicians are actively involved in all aspects of anesthetic care across the medical center, including acute pain service, chronic pain management, ambulatory care, general surgery, cardiovascular services, pediatrics, obstetrics and many more.
